The Aquario Neo CO₂ Diffuser Curved Special offers a sleek, high‑performance solution for CO₂ injection in planted aquariums. Designed for aesthetics as well as function, it features a factory pre‑bent tube so it can hang neatly over the rim of your aquarium, helping to reduce visible tubing and maintain a clean, organised look.
The diffuser employs a fine ceramic membrane that produces super‑fine bubbles, allowing CO₂ to dissolve more quickly and efficiently in the water column.
Key Features
- Made of durable acrylic (or strong plastic materials) to resist breakage compared to traditional glass diffusers.
- Curved end tubing set‑up that allows mounting over the tank rim, eliminating bulky hose appearance inside the tank.
- Very fine bubble generation via a specialized ceramic (diffusion) membrane, improving CO₂ absorption.
- Several size options to suit different tank volumes and glass thicknesses: small, medium, large, etc.
- Narrow diffuser body and side pipe connection, helping for integration into smaller or nano tanks.
Specifications (All Sizes)
Here are common specs across the Small (“S”), Medium (“M”), and Large (“L”) models:
- Diffusion plate (ceramic membrane) diameters
- Small: ~12 mm
- Medium: ~17 mm
- Large: ~24 mm
- Length (tube / body)
- Small: ~23 cm
- Medium: ~28 cm
- Large: ~34 cm
- Clip width / hose‑clip width
- Small & Medium: ~9 mm
- Large: ~13 mm
- Maximum glass thickness supported:
- Around 9 mm for many sizes; larger version supports thicker glass (~12‑13 mm) for large aquarium tanks.
Usage & Care Tips
- Before first use, soak the diffuser in water for about 10–30 minutes so the membrane pores fill with water, which helps produce finer bubbles.
- Monitor bubble size: if they begin to get large, it’s a sign the membrane may be dirty. Clean using a mild bleach solution, rinse thoroughly afterwards to remove any bleach residue.
- Do not use excessive pressure through the diffuser. Because of the very fine membrane, too much pressure can damage the membrane, cause leaks (e.g. between ceramic and body), or reduce performance.
- Make sure hoses / tubing are secured properly (clip or fitting) to avoid slipping or backflow.
Ideal For
- Planted aquariums where CO₂ dissolution efficiency is critical
- Nano tanks or small to medium aquariums where a low‑profile, clean appearance is desired
- Users who prefer minimal visible tubing, tidy layout, and aesthetic integration
- Aquarists looking for a diffuser that balances fine bubbles with ease of maintenance
