Black Beard algae can be a virulent problem that occurs in many planted aquariums.  This can result in poor plant growth.  When Bearded algae becomes a problem, you should add Carbo-Max double strength to aquariums and ponds for lush green plant growth.

Carbo-Max Double Strength is a glutaraldehyde based liquid carbon additive which raises the carbon level of the water, promoting plant growth and improving the health and beauty of your aquarium.

Directions: Before first use, a 30% to 40% water change is necessary. Add 5ml to 50 litres of well aerated water. Then add 1ml to 40 litres every second day for 1 to 2 weeks. Water should be kept well-aerated. Repeat as instructed if necessary. Use strictly as directed. Do not overdose!
